Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you use the Service. Through these files, Worknector receives certain information. This information is later used by Worknector to make your experience with the Service more convenient and efficient as well as to enable certain functions. You should know that cookies cannot run programs or do any harm to your device, for example by transmitting viruses to it.
Worknector uses two kinds of cookies in its Service – transient and persistent cookies. Transient cookies are
those that are automatically removed once you close your browser or log out. These cookies include, in particular,
session cookies that Worknector uses to recognize your device when you use the Service again.
Unlike transient cookies, persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time. You can configure this period using your browser’s security settings. You can configure your browser cookie settings in accordance with your personal demands and even decline all cookies if you choose to do so. However, non-acceptance of cookies may limit the functionality of the Service.
Which cookies does the Service use?

Preferences cookies help tailor the website according to your needs. They remember the information that influences the behavior and/or the layout of the website, such as the language you use or your location.
Statistics cookies collect and report data anonymously and let website owners understand how visitors interact with their website. These can eventually improve your experience with the website.
Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites. They help display ads that are relevant to users and can add more value to publishers and third-party advertisers.
7. Use of analytics tools.
Worknector automatically records information, namely usage data. Worknector may create aggregated anonymized data for advertising, market research, the improvement of existing products, and the creation of new innovative products. Besides that, Worknector uses the following analytical tools:
- Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics
uses so-called "cookies". These are small text files that are saved on your device and allow the way you use the
website to be analyzed. The information about your use of the Service that is generated by cookies is usually
transmitted to and stored on a Google server. However, if you activate IP anonymization on the Worknector website,
your IP address will first be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting
states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be sent to
a Google server in the US and truncated there. On behalf of Worknector, Google will use this information to evaluate
your use of the Worknector website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to
website activity and Internet usage at Worknector.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be combined with other Google data.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by configuring your browser software accordingly. However, please note that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full functionality of the Service. You may also prevent the collection of data generated by cookies and related to your use of the Service (including your IP address) as well as the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

If the data collected about you has a personal reference, this reference is immediately excluded, and the personal data is deleted immediately.
Worknector uses Google Analytics to analyze and regularly improve the use of the Service. With these statistics, Worknector can improve its offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. This means that YouTube no longer stores information about visitors unless they watch the video. If you click on the video, your IP address will be transferred to YouTube and YouTube will know that you have watched the video. 11. Subscribing to the Worknector newsletter.
You have the opportunity to subscribe to the Worknector newsletter via the Service.
When you sign up for our email newsletter, we will periodically send you updates and marketing information, such as case studies and tips.
On the basis of your consent, Worknector therefore processes your personal data voluntarily provided during the newsletter registration (your email address and, if applicable, your name). The data collected by Worknector when registering for the newsletter will be used exclusively for promotional purposes by way of the newsletter for the above-mentioned purposes.
The newsletters contain a so-called "web beacon", a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the MailChimp server when the newsletter is opened. In the context of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about your browser and your system, as well as your IP address and time of retrieval are collected. This information is used to improve the technical performance of the Service based on the technical data or the reading behavior of the newsletter audience based on their locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or access times.
You may change your mind at any time and revoke your consent to receive the newsletter with effect for the future. For example, you may unsubscribe from the newsletter by clicking on the unsubscribe link found in the footer of any newsletter email you receive from Worknector, or by using your account settings. Worknector uses MailChimp, a marketing automation platform from The Rocket Science Group LLC, as Worknector's service
provider (processor) to manage the Worknector newsletter, including the subscription process.
The Rocket Science Group LLC d/b/a MailChimp, based in the US (675 Ponce de Leon Ave. NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA), is certified to the US-European Privacy Shield, which ensures compliance with the level of data protection in the EU.
Furthermore, we have concluded an appropriate contract data processing contract with MailChimp (Customer EU Data Processing Addendum).
There are cases where newsletter recipients are directed to the MailChimp website. For example, the newsletters
contain a link that allows recipients to retrieve newsletters online. Furthermore, newsletter subscribers can update
their page. In this context, we point out that cookies are used on the MailChimp websites, and thus, personal data may
be processed by MailChimp, their partners, and service providers (for example, Google Analytics). Worknector has no

13. Use of Google AdWords.
Worknector uses Google AdWords to draw attention to its offers by using advertising materials (so-called Google AdWords) on external websites. In relation to the data of the advertising campaigns, Worknector can determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. Worknector is interested in showing you advertisements that are of interest to you, to make the service more interesting to you, and to achieve a fair calculation of advertising costs.
These advertising materials are supplied by Google via so-called "ad servers". Therefore, Worknector uses ad server cookies, which measure certain performance metrics such as ads or user clicks. If you access the service through a Google ad, Google AdWords will store a cookie on your PC. These cookies usually lose their validity after 30 days and are not intended to identify you personally. Typically, the unique cookie ID, number of ad impressions per placement (frequency), last impression (relevant to post-view conversions), and opt-out information (noting that the user does not like to be addressed) will be saved.
These cookies allow Google to recognize your internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an AdWords customer's website and the cookie stored on their computer has not expired, Google and the customer will be able to detect that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to that page. Each AdWords customer is assigned a different cookie. Cookies cannot be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. Worknector does not collect or process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We receive only statistical evaluations by Google. On the basis of these evaluations, we can identify which of the advertising measures used are effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising material; in particular, we cannot identify the users on the basis of this information.
Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. Worknector has no control over the extent and the further use of the data that is collected by the appliance of this tool by Google. Therefore, Worknector informs you according to the Worknector knowledge level: By the incorporation of AdWords conversion, Google receives the information that you entered the appropriate part of our internet appearance or clicked on an ad from Worknector. If you are registered with a service provided by Google, Google may associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, there is a chance that the provider will find and store your IP address.
You can prevent participation in this tracking process in several ways: a) by adjusting your browser software accordingly; in particular, suppression of third-party cookies will prevent you from receiving any third-party advertisements; b) by deactivating the cookies for conversion tracking by setting your browser to block cookies from the domain "www.googleadservices.com" under https://www.google.de/settings/ads; however, this setting will be deleted when you delete your cookies; c) by deactivating the interest-based ads of providers that are part of the self-regulation "About Ads" campaign via the link http://www.aboutads.info/ choices; however, this setting will be deleted when you delete your cookies; d) by permanent deactivation in your browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome) under the link http://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin We point out that in this case, you may not be able to use all of the features we offer.
The legal basis for the processing of your data is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR. More information about privacy at Google can be found here: http://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy and https://services.google.com/sitestats/de.html Alternatively, you can visit the website of the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) under http://www.networkadvertising.org. Google is part of the EU-US Privacy Shield, https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.
14. Duration of personal data retention.
The data will be erased as soon as it is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. This is the case if you close your account with Worknector and there are no legal or official retention periods that prevent erasure.
15. Possibility of elimination by the data subject.
The data subject is free to modify, correct or erase the personal data provided, both during and after the registration.
16. Data saving during your request to Worknector.
In case you direct an inquiry to Worknector, Worknector saves the communication history with you as well as the information and data submitted in the course of this communication (e.g. email address) in order to optimally answer your request and any further follow-ups. Worknector will delete the relevant data after the storage is no longer required or restrict the processing if statutory retention periods exist.
17. Security of personal data.
Your data is being protected with all reasonable efforts. However, Worknector has to point out that the Internet does not allow for absolute data security despite all technical measures. Worknector is not liable for the actions of third parties.
18. Children under the age of 16.
The service is not intended for children under 16 years of age, and Worknector does not knowingly collect or use any personal data from children under the age of 16.
